Core Faculty, Clinical Mental Health Counseling (remote)

Location: Remote, with the ability to travel to campuses and other locations
Start Date: January 2024

Antioch University Graduate School of Counseling, Psychology, and Therapy invites applications for a full-time Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC) Core Faculty member to join our progressive team in our dual-delivery model program. The CMHC Program is a CACREP-accredited program that is part of Antioch University New England (AUNE) in Keene, NH. We offer concentrations in both Trauma and Addictions Counseling.

In alignment with Antioch's mission, the CMHC program at AUNE is committed to experiential learning, social justice, extensive clinical training, scholarship, and the use of creative, progressive and applied approaches. AUNE has been educating counselors for over 40 years and has a network of alumni throughout the country, who serve as many of our field supervisors and employers. Faculty are expected to engage in pedagogy and practices that reflect the social justice mission of the university.

The CMHC program is offered in two platforms - one that is predominantly a hybrid weekend platform for regionally located students, and one that is a low residency platform with online course work and a minimum of two required intensive residency experiences in Fall and Spring semesters.

Position Overview
The position has responsibilities that include:

  • Direct instruction of 18 credits per academic year and engaging in student advising
  • Meeting university expectations in scholarship, service, and institutional citizenship
  • Engaging in program, department, campus, and school/university citizenship
  • Engaging in ongoing department and program initiatives, particularly related to improvements in pedagogy and student engagement
  • Teaching at the clinical intensive residencies in Ohio in the Fall and Spring

Educational and Experiential Requirements and Qualifications

  • An earned doctorate in counselor education and supervision (CACREP-accredited program preferred)
  • Professional counselor credentials (e.g., NCC or state licensure)
  • At least two years of clinical supervision experience
  • Graduate teaching experience
  • A record of scholarship, including publications, presentations, or contributions demonstrating professional achievement
  • Commitment to social justice and advocacy underpinned by the American Counseling Association's (2015) Multicultural and Social Justice Counseling Competencies
  • Expertise in one of the concentration specialty areas, including Addictions and/or Trauma
  • Experience with grant application and management to support HRSA activities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Expertise in online pedagogy specific to clinical training programs
  • Knowledge of CACREP Standards and program evaluation
